I think that chapters 3 and 4 in War Horse are very much like the real world. Young horses really do get sold to go to the war to fight. Horses were used in World War 1 and World War 2 and Joey (the horse in the book) is getting sent to war just like the horses in other wars that might be happening right now. War Horse is a true story and reminds me of some of the sad war books my dad reads in his free time.
